The 2013 Fall Meeting was 2-3 October in Eagan, MN. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend and make it an incredibly valuable and successful event. We are looking forward to the 2014 meeting being bigger and better than 2013.

Below are a few of the highlights from 2013 Meeting.

These are a few of the individuals who were able to make the meeting

This was then followed by the presentation of the enhancements available in the 2013 release of Monarch Foundation. Jay Katzenberger performed a live demonstration of the updates and changes. Judi Hansen then talked about the more general process of the enhancements, the Enhancement Committees, and how to become involved in the process. The enhancements were a direct result of the Monarch User Group coordination with EFI through the Monarch Value Channel Program. As a result of this program EFI has committed to 250 “points” per year to development and changes requested through the Monarch User Group

The first night of the event then concluded with a happy hour / meet & greet session in the hotel restaurant. In addition to the User Group attendees, there were many representatives from EFI in attendance including Mark Merickel and Don Halloff from Support, Michael Henderson from Project Management, and many other individuals. A catered dinner followed the happy hour.

October 3rd began with breakfast in the conference room followed by the EFI Roadmap and staff presentations.

As part of the EFI Roadmap there was an informative look at several upcomming EFI products:

IQuote, the estimating system initially revealed at Print 2013 was demonstrated by Megan Dietz.

Michael Henderson also gave an in-depth look and discussion about the soon to be released CRM module. This was initially revealed at Connect 2013.

After the EFI Roadmap and a short coffee break, the group broke out into 3 round table discussions: Production Workflow, Accounting, and IT. This was a great chance to get to hear some problems and solutions that other members of the MUG have found, as well as offer up your own fixes. Also present in each round table were subject matter experts from EFI.
